The San Angelo City Council adopted a resolution designating Bentwood Country Club Estates as San Angelo’s only Master-Planned Community. This designation is the first of its kind for San Angelo. The designation recognizes Bentwood as a master planned development because of its community plan and the excellent standards and planning that goes with the Bentwood lifestyle. As a result of this designation Bentwood is able to allow golf carts to travel within the designated Bentwood Estates development. Golf carts will be legal to operate on the city streets as long as the person operating the cart is legal to drive and operate a motor vehicle. The resolution in no way allows or condones underage golf cart operation. Bentwood Country Club Ownership, the City Council and the San Angelo Police Department have worked together to get this designation for our community.
